Our Story — From a One-Man Operation to a Full-Service MSP

Where It Started

Alextricity Technologies was founded in 2014 by Alex Roberts in Licking, Missouri — a small town where resources were limited but the need for reliable technology support was real. What began as a one-person computer repair operation quickly grew through something that no amount of marketing can buy: word of mouth in a tight-knit rural community.

In those early days, the work was straightforward — broken laptops, virus removals, home network setups. But every job was done right, every call was answered, and every client was treated like the only client. That reputation for reliability and genuine care spread fast. Local businesses started calling. Then the schools. Then the county offices.

The Turning Point

The breakthrough came when a rural school district in southern Missouri needed a complete infrastructure overhaul. Their network was failing, their devices were aging out faster than the budget could replace them, and their students were paying the price. Alextricity took on the project and delivered something the district had never experienced: enterprise-grade infrastructure built from the ground up — reliable, fast, and maintainable. We redesigned their network, deployed campus-wide wireless, implemented a device management program, and established in-house repair capabilities that saved the district tens of thousands of dollars in replacement costs.

That project changed everything. It proved that a company rooted in a rural community could deliver the same caliber of work as any firm in a major city — and do it with a level of personal investment that the big companies simply cannot match.

Growing Into Downtown Cabool

By 2019, the demand had outgrown every workspace we had occupied. In October of that year, Alextricity Technologies relocated to our current facility in Downtown Cabool — a 5,100-square-foot building purpose-built for what we do. The space houses our datacenter infrastructure, multiple technician bays for simultaneous repairs, a board-level electronics repair station with professional soldering and rework equipment, a staging area for equipment configuration before deployment, and an extensive parts inventory that enables same-day repairs in most cases.

The move was not just about space. It was about capability. With a proper facility, we could take on larger projects, serve more clients simultaneously, reduce turnaround times, and expand into services that simply were not possible before — datacenter builds, large-scale network deployments, and enterprise-grade managed IT services.

Today, Alextricity Technologies is a full-service managed service provider operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We serve school districts, government agencies, manufacturing plants, healthcare providers, small businesses, and residential clients across Missouri’s Ozarks region. Our team is CompTIA A+ certified with direct reseller partnerships through D&H and TD Synnex, giving us access to Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, and every major enterprise technology vendor.
